One of the advantages of VoIP over a traditional landline is that your number is not tied to a socket. Once your account is provisioned, you can sign in to the Virtual Voice app on as many devices as you like and they all ring when someone calls your number. Here is how to get each one set up.
iPhone and iPad (iOS)
Open the App Store and search for Virtual Voice. Tap Get, then open the app and sign in with your portal email and password. Allow microphone access when prompted — this is required for calls. Your number will appear in the app within a few seconds of signing in.
Android
Open the Play Store, search for Virtual Voice and install. The sign-in process is identical to iOS. If you want the app to ring in the background, go to your phone\'s battery settings and exclude Virtual Voice from battery optimisation — otherwise Android may stop it receiving incoming calls when the screen is off.
Windows PC and Mac
Download the desktop app from your customer portal under Account > Downloads. Install it, sign in, and your number is live on your computer. The desktop app includes a softphone dialler so you can make and receive calls from your keyboard, and shows your call history and voicemail messages.
